Devil's Bridge

Devil's Bridge, Ceredigion

Three bridges span the ravine at Devil's Bridge, the oldest, lowermost, one reputedly built by the devil. It is more likely that it was built by monks as this was on a trade route from nearby Strata Florida abbey. Hence the Welsh word for the village of Devil's Bridge is Pontarfynach - bridge of the monks.

Wonderful history in these three bridges and the photo has excellent details. The rocks along the fissure beneath the bridges is particularly nice in this regard. Well done. Vote.
