Water wheel

Pont-Rhyd-y-Groes, Ceredigion

Pont-rhyd-y-groes (the bridge by the ford by the cross in English) was a centre of mining activity in the 19th century. This water wheel, reconstructed in 2009, powered one the mines in the 1800s.

The corrosion and moss on it is so beautiful, as is your overall image. I t looks much older than a 2009 reconstruction. ~BV~
