This tame Ruffed Grouse was seen near the Hilda Road feeders from late fall 2007 through the early months of 2008.
The first time I encountered this grouse it followed me around for quite a while!

That was an amazing grouse!! I never went looking for it as I reckoned there were enough people doing so, but sort of wish I had! She is such a lovely bird. Wonder what her story was? Wonder if she had been hand reared? Very nice shot anyway.
