Sweet Eileen

I first posted this image in February 2006.
Eileen passed away November 30th after a long battle with Alzheimer's.
A few weeks ago on one of my visits to see her at the nursing home, I touched her with my very cold hands and her eyes opened wide and she said, "oh!"!
We all laughed and told her how cold it was outside.
That is my last happy memory of Eileen and I cherish it.
This song always makes me think of her and always will:

Jen - how lovely that you can celebrate Eileen with this song. It's wonderful isn't it?
I particularly like the video as it shows a typical London street yet evokes much nostalgia too.
ah Eileen...

Oh, Jen. I'm so sorry for your loss and I'm betting she is dancing in Heaven right now to the song that is playing on my computer! I love this and she is no longer suffering and is so lucky to have had you in her life. You will earn crowns in Heaven for being there for her. Love ya girl and know that my hugs are surrounding you. I know how much it hurts to lose someone you care about but you WILL see her again one day!
