On my way back from Lake Tahoe, I meandered down Highway 49 from Placerville to Oakhurst, stopping in several of the gold country towns along the way. I didn't by any means see all of them; this area could keep a photographer busy and happy for days, and I only had one. But, I got a nice sampling of what this beautiful area has to offer, and look forward to visiting it again when I have more time.
