the uncontrolled development of the area has had dramatic effects. this is how it should have stayed.
its still not too late but unfortunately the turkish government apparently always has other things to deal with rather than to run a proper culture and tourism ministry.
So much more beauty and peace than it is now... I was there almost ten years ago and since then tourism only increased. Beautiful and historical capture! -Menno
