Worn-out trucks seems to face a different fate than cars – without any scientific evidence, I somewhat get the impression that truck dumps are un-proportionally less frequent than car dumps. One can of course argue that probably at least 50x more cars made than trucks in just plain numbers, but I guess that does not explain it all. Trucks typically live a harder life than cars but probably they have a longer life cycle. Maybe it has something to do with a different second-hand market or something like that.
Whatever – this particular dump seems to be far off the radar screen of the environmental agencies and is nothing but a plain mess. It's one of these places you almost expect to find a corpse, some barrels with radioactive waste, a pile of cut-open safes, an amphetamine factory or something like that. With this in mind plus the omnipresent worry of walking into the owner or his Rottweiler-/Pitbull-/Dobermann-ish kind of dog made this visit very quick and brief.
