Kim was my first dog, a black and white english springer and came to me way back in 1984. Poppy was her replacement.
On Friday 18/6/2010 at 3:15PM I held my best friend close to my chest as the Vet put poppy to sleep. She was 12½ years old. 7 days previously she fell over while out for our usual morning walk. I took her to the vets and was told the cause was either a brain tumour or an inner ear infection I took her back the following Monday and the Vet confirmed it was a tumour. She rapidly grew weaker, and I did what any dog lover knows had to be done She was put down last Friday. My life is empty now. I miss her terribly.
