16 april - White raster

"Whitish" PAD theme for APRIL

White Raster. The upper image and its intensity histogram is of a white plastic board
which is the opaque backdrop for my slide copier. It is smooth and featureless.
The lower image is the result of applying an Autolevels correction to the upper image.
Lots of vignetting and sensors dust becomes visible. How clean is your sensor?

I agree with several comments. I do not dare look at mine. But I need to face it and do it and clean it. Thanks.

Sensor swabs, Eclipse fluid and a bit of bravery for me. But I wait until it really really annoys me, truth is, it only really shows in featureless areas - and they're easy to clone out.

Oops. I'd be afraid to look at mine... Will you clean it yourself? I brought mine recently to the camera shop also.

Probably not as clean as I thought a few moments ago! Great idea and demonstration. Good to have you back!

Great find!

Mine is, sadly, in a similar state. I took my camera to be cleaned by a local camera shop and it came back worse!
