Pay The Ferryman

Glen Etive, Glencoe, Highlands, Scotland.

This long abandoned jetty at the end of the Glen Etive road is a popular spot to take pictures. However on this particular day the weather was beyond appalling the rain was incessant and driven by a vicious wind. I sought refuge in an old boat shed and set up my camera with some modest protection around me. I made an exposure of over a minutes duration thanks to a 4 stop ND filter in conjunction with a polariser the colours intensified greatly and the water was reduced to an aqueous blur rather than the choppy waves that bristled the surface in real life.

Very interesting. I'll need to revisit my image taken at the same time, but I don't think there's any way the Canon 30D version will match the impact of this.

After some successful forays into Medium Format via a Holga, I'm thinking very seriously about purchasing some serious medium format kit.
