Ciaragh is helping me chop some wood at the Greyhound Rescue

At first I struggled with a means to really convey the horrors of Greyhound racing, and the dark side of the industry. I prefer not to resort to 'shock' images if I can. But after seeing some of the responses Chris has received for his video on YouTube, I felt compelled to add it to my gallery here. Many of the images he shows are of my own rescued dogs and fosters. As a warning, some of the images are quite graphic. Such reports I see and hear about daily from the local vets, shelters, animal control, and the Greyhound rescues in Ireland. We are all aware of how cruel people can be to each other. Frankly, it comes as no surprise to me how cruel some people are to animals:

And here are a few links and reports of the type of animal cruelty we see during our work with the animal rescues:

I must agree with your comments, while people are so cruel with mankind, what hope is there for the animals. Apart from the few who try their best to improve their lot.
