'Dragon Gate Flying Waterfall' (Oct 06)

The 'Heavenly Lake' (Tianchi) at the mouth of the 'Dragon Palace Cave' (Longgong) feeds the river which flows through the Cave. The lake is surrounded by karst cliffs. At one corner, there is a hole in the cliff leading to a grotto, through which the waters of the lake tumble in a frothing waterfall, 34 metres high and 25 metres wide, to the bottom of the grotto. This waterfall is called the 'Dragon Gate Flying Waterfall', and is claimed to be the highest cave waterfall in China.

The view from the bottom of the fall is shown in the next picture.
