Ahhhhhhhhh.....HEAVEN ON EARTH!

This is Abner's in University City. My friend Jenn and I used to eat there ALL the time during our first year of college. We lived at the International House just a block from there.

You see, all the tourists go to either Pat's or Geno's in South Philly. Both of those places can't hold a CANDLE to Abner's! There are a LOT of mom and pop places out there that nobody knows about except for the locals. Abner's is one of them although they have become more well-known in the last 10 years.

I haven't had a cheesesteak in 10 years and was BESIDE myself when I visited Abner's again. Abner's, by the way is on 39th and Chestnut. GO THERE! Do NOT go to the tourist traps! Their steaks are OK but WAY overrated!
