Reading lamp

Cottage Grove, Oregon view map

Recipe for a nice reading lamp at camp (shown here in a car): strap an LED headlamp around a gallon milk jug filled with water. Position the lamp to shine into the jug. Turn on the lamp. Rotate jug for best lighting effect.

Photographed in my car at the Baker Bay County Park Campground on Dorena Lake.

John, in posting this photo I never intended that you should have to deal with a sarcastic salesperson or engage in a scuffle of any severity. However, I appreciate the effort you expend in searching for confirmation of the obvious.

Dave, I went to our local camping shop for confirmation regarding wearing headlamps on the head. Mr Tony Blair the shop assistant was rather sarcastic.
He said where do you put your gloves ? I said, on my hands. he said where do you put your shirt, I said on my body. He said where do you put your boots, I said, up your a**e if you keep taking the p**s.
At that point there was a slight scuffle, and I left the shop.
So, no confirmation on the wearing of a headlamp on the head yet.
I will try again.

John, I just concluded three days of intensive meditation on the nature of headlamps. On several occasions I attained the "psychic ecstacy of the obvious." Curiously enough, though, it did not involve the connection you mention. Are you certain you described the situation properly? I am reluctant to attempt what you suggest until you have confirmed your "headlamp on one's head" theory.

Dave, just as a novelty, try strapping the "headlamp" to your head.
There is a bit of a clue in the name "headlamp".
I use a "headlamp" on my head. It works fine.

Larry, I believe it's a Washout...

Isn't it hard to ballance on your head?

It's cheaper to catch fireflies. This is a genius idea, Dave. You're pretty dang smart for a Washingtonion. Or is it Washingtooner or maybe Washinger or Washfest? I'll have to
get back with you on that.

What a totally cool idea! I love it!

Is this lamp available in the 1 gallon Bacardi Rum model?
