The kids in the children's ward at the hospital were a mix of war injuries and problems unrelated to the war. The girl on the bed in the back had been shot in the leg by a sniper and was recuperating. She was 14. I don't recall how the two boys were injured. The kids were positive and upbeat, but bored. However, looking at the photos I can see there was a certain war-terror in their eyes that I hadn't noticed when I visited them.
