Just back from 5 days of playing chamber music at a house in Somerset. Total immersion - no newspapers, radio or TV for 5 days, and nothing but making wonderful music with good friends from early in the morning till late at night. What bliss !! Our daily timetable ran something like this... breakfast, play, morning coffee, play, lunch, play, afternoon tea, play, dinner, play, play, drinks & nibbles, fall into bed sometime after midnight, sleep, get up & have breakfast... etc, etc.

The only time I left the house was to go into Bristol with some of the others... to visit a music shop ! It was a tiny shop, and the owner was a bit surprised to be invaded by so many people at once, but we were like kids in a candy store and made it worth his while ! I came out a bit poorer (cough, cough) but with two new instruments I had had no intention of buying (not!) - yippee !! No point in pretending that once inside the shop I wasn't going to come out with SOMEthing ! LOL

Far too busy to take photographs except a few shots from the patio, including this sunset. Hmmm... a few bottles of wine seem to have disappeared along the way too... perhaps that's why I only got to bed at 2am this morning ?? ;-)
