The rock climbing gym changes the climbs on the walls in a slow way. Every week or so, some of the old routes are "retired" and a few new ones go up in their place.
But, once a year, the NJ Rock Gym holds their Gravity Brawl bouldering competition. Before the competition, the dedicated employees of the NJ Rock Gyn, such as Doug, put in endless hours to break down just about every climb in the gym and give the walls a face lift. After the competition, we'll have pretty much a "new gym" to play on. It is, in a way, a catharsis for the gym...something I think we can all use once in a while.
