This is the third image I took of this particular Arch. In this image, the arch stands out being much darker than the wall light by the morning light behind it..
Standing in front of Hewitt Arch, there are dozens of Saguaro Cactus standing as soldiers at attention in front of the arch. Behind are the walls of the Superstitions bathed in the Red and Blue light of the sunrise. For those wondering, this was shot with Daylight WB with only a contrast boost to make use of the entire range of the histogram.
This image (as well as all the others taken that trip) was shoot along side a respected (and accomplished) professional Landscape photographer, George Stocking ( http://www.georgestocking.com ).
