Beautiful picture, my wife love the lamp. I don't see distorsion before I read comments !

That's a hoot! I didn't consider that it could be as the result of fixing something else. 8-) All in all, I really like it . It's somewhat similar to the selective coloring effect that some here have used, but it's more natural here.

Tom, a nice photo, captures the mood of the day beautifully. Glad you are leaving the photo there, a good learning experience for us.

Actually, you are both correct. The drapes hang at an angle, but also there is barrel distortion, especially noticable along the top of the window. Perhaps I put this up a little too hastily. I was not standing directly in front of the window, but somewhat to the right. I used perspective correction to make it look head-on. However, this makes the image look unreal because the lamp's reflection is not in the right place, and the piano does not look centered on the window, even though it actually is. I think the perspective correction also increased the appearance of the barrel distortion. I will leave it as is, so others can see what we are talking about, and perhaps see what not to do.

Really nice shot, Tom. Monochromatic except for the lovely warmth of the lamp. And Tim, it looks to me like the angling in at the bottom is simply because of the drapes, not distortion.

Nice contrast of inside/outside colors/greys. Great moody image. The one suggestion I'll make is to use a PS or PSP filter to remove the barrel distortion/perspective.

Nice picture. Looks warm and cozy inside. Same kind of weather that we are having. Larry

What a great atmosphere I see in this. The lamp lights a gloomy outlook. Bea.
