Starting Again
(09.07.05)

It's like starting again... there is a lot to learn (and unlearn). I am so impressed with the speed of this camera and how clean the shots are...amazing. It's back to the basics though, and just focusing on mechanics.. where's the f stop, etc.. creativity will come later. I'm loving it.

Canon EOS 20D ,Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM
1/1000s f/4.0 at 70.0mm iso100 full exif

Maybe you have had this for a while - but I am so delighted you finally got your SLR. There will be no stopping you now :o)
This is a beautiful shot and the structure almost looks oriental.

Lovely sunset! Gorgeous colors, reflections and silhouette! I was a bit intimidated when I first got my Canon EOS 10D, but it all eventually becomes second nature! So have fun with the new toy! ;-)

It is a bit of a shift to move from a point & shoot (as good as yours was) to a SLR. One big difference you will note is the total absence of lag time when the shutter is pressed, and the camera turns on and is ready to go in a jiff.

This is certainly a fine sunrise photo to mark beginning of the new era. With your innate talent I look forward to lots of great images.
