Azaleas and the US Capitol building

This was taken at the end of our first day in the city.

Me and my friend took the Metro to the center of D.C. and had lunch with his Laure.

It was a rainy, windy day so we did a lot of indoor things.
We first visited the International Spy Museum which was interesting with its many examples of
spy techniques and equipment thru the many eras of spying.

We then went over to the National Gallery's East Building and looked at the Toulouse-Latrec art
exhibit. Fascinating paintings of the decadent lifestyle of early 1900s Paris. Also saw some
paintings by Degas, van Gohg and Picasso.

Then a short visit to the National Botanical Gardens, then back to my friends home.
