other sizes: small medium original auto

RHS- Middle of the RHS there is a slight grey/drk brown smudge hanging out there...otherwise perfect....may be that my monitor has to much brightness or something....

Thanks Dorys, appreciate your comment. Actually what I did was that I went behind the beer glasses and did a quick one second torch movement up each glass and that resulted in the blow highlights; guess I need to diffuse the light and try that out. Also, will use less light as suggested by you... now only to find the time to reshoot. :-) Thanks a lot once again.

Cheers. Vikas.

PS: LOVE your Champagne shots; they are really fantastic.

Vikas, I like how this came out. but you might try using the torch for a shorter period of time. I found on my champagne glass shot that if i left my flashlight on the rings for just a split second longer, they got blown out. in my 13 second shot, i used the flashlight for maybe 2 or 3 seconds as i "painted" then i used my hand to block out the light completely for the rest of the shot. that seemed to work. but what do i know, i was a PWL virgin until this weekend! LOL

Thanks Alex, will try again once more with more separation between the two glasses.

Thanks D, will zone out the black on the right hand side, is it on the top or the bottom since I cant make out on my monitor. Thanks.

Thanks Debbi, yup done with PWL. Exif stripped thanks to PSCS. f/32; 20 secs, ISO 100.

Cheers. Vikas.

this is very nice Vikas...just zone out the RHS patch of "lighter" black....there seems to be some slight exposure to the RHS of the glass.

Very nice execution. I like how the beer glows and how the napkings came out. I wonder how it would look with a bit deeper shadow between the two glasses and with a tad less bright left glass

Thanks Shu, appreciate it. Actually went behind the glasses and did a squiggly thing with the torch to get the lights like that. Guess it wasnt a good idea. :-) Will try differently again. Thanks. Vikas.

Too many bright highlights on the glasses, but otherwise a good idea. Shu

First try ever Painting with Light... would really value comments on how to do this better. Thanks. Cheers, Vikas.
