SCARISBRICK HALL

SOUTHPORT

This is Scarisbrick Hall, just outside Southport. A wonderfully ornate building covered in statues of heroic knights, gargoyles, dragons & other mythical creatures. It was designed by the same architect who did the Houses of Parliament and there is a tower just out of shot, which is very similar to the tower that houses Big Ben, but without a clock.

The house rambles off in various directions, I will probably upload a gallery of shots from this building (inside & out) when I have time to process them all. At the moment however, they are at the end of a long queue !

Although I originally intended to post a black & white version of this, I changed my mind as it didn't do justice to the colour in the sandstone.
