Thanks all. :)

Rod, that is exactly what I was thinking (and crediting you for) when I was posting the shot. I think the staticity comes from the fact that no arms are visable. I would have preferred greatly if he had held the umbrella in his left hand with a nice bent arm, but when doing drive by street shots you've got to take what you can get! LOL! As it was, it was a mob scene there and just isolating subjects was hard enough. I kept losing great shots b/c of others passing by in the opposite direction, traffic lights changing making hubby have to drive away, or people hording onto street corners just as I would be framing up my singles and pairs waiting to cross. I was happy as a clam just to have the rain! I LOVE LOVE LOVE shooting in the rain and I'd not got to do it at night before, nor in Manhattan before, so this was a big-time thrill. :)

BTW, the figure on it's own, is interesting, but the pink granite and yellow window finish it off nicely. I'm drawn to shots like this. Shu

It's great that you're getting shots that you like, as it's more important than praise from other people. The shot seems a tad static for me I don't know why, maybe the bloke is too well lit for me to pick up a dynamic. This looks like a flash shot.
