Aug 12: Where guitars live

I can't get enough of natural light. After a few days with the studio lights, I see a scene like this and, well, it has to be done with natural light. This is where the guitars live. From left to right, Hofner acoustic, Strat, Telecaster and the Fender amp. This is middle room again. The same room (and the same light) as the stool/Muji bag pictures where done. That series started here (link). You might just make out a photograph I took of Rosie 3 or 4 years ago, framed on the shelf.

Excellent.. i'm drawn to natural light as well. There is something .. um.. er... natural about it?
No.. it lights things just right - it seems. At least for my taste. The light comes in this window.. diffused by the blinds and the curtains.. hitting the curves, shapes, textures of the objects it hits. It's my favorite kind of light.

Nostalgic in both content and appearance - well done

Soooo cool!! Great place to play. I always keep my favorite six Gibsons in a rack by my side.

Love the lighting. It looks like a room where you can play and compose some good music.

You are a rock star, DM! And I like your lighting. How about a shot a LA there for tomorrow?

The natural lighting is wonderful, David. The light falling on the curved body of the guitar is particularly good. It's been interesting to hunt around in the semi-darkness of that room to see if I can figure out what you've got in there.
