This is Katherine M. Ebert, b. June 26, 1849 in Connecticut to Frederick Ebert and Margaret O'Conor/O'Connel. The original of this photo is in our possession and was digitized by my husband, Douglas S. Burgess many years ago. Genealogy researchers have since copied it to their files and mislabeled it. It was originally found in the possessions of Minnie Anderson Ebert, wife of Paul Abner Ebert who was the son of John Ebert, son of Daniel and Catherine Ebert. It is labeled on the back in an unknown person's hand writing: "Kate Ebert Parsons Tomah Wis." The front of the photo has Baumgarten, and Tomah, Wis. printed along the photo border. This is not Catherine Reiley?, the wife of Daniel Ebert as many people have labeled on the web. Katherine Ebert Persons was a niece to Daniel and Catherine Ebert. Baumgarten Photography Studio first opened in 1894.
