gorge de galamus headstone

The Gorge de Galamus is quite awesome and must be fun to ride a bike through, if you aren't afraid of falling off cliffs. At the end I stopped in a little cleared parking lot and saw a sign - I think it said "Chapel" or something else nondescript, so I walked over to where the trees were and saw there was a little trail going down the hill. It was a very old hermitage, now a tourist attraction. In this it was typically French: if you don't find it or know it's there, you don't deserve to see it, because we're not going to put up a sign. I passed a statue of Mary and baby Jesus, and came upon this headstone, or memorial, which I believe commemorates Brother Pierre, who died of hunger there in 1870.

Lousy resolution. I had a shop digitize these pics, and they did a terrible job, but I wanted to put it up here.
