Backpacking the Lehman Creek Trail

view map

On a 4 mile, 2000+ ft ascent.
Still low in elevation with the still green Aspens.

My pack was a low 22.75 pounds of weight.
Just two nights of food, 2 liters of water.
Exchanged my 1.5 pound fleece jacket for a lighter down jacket.
and saved 3-5 pounds by leaving any big camera behind for the small phone for picture taking.

Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max
1/1900s f/1.6 at 5.1mm iso32 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

When the going gets steep, the wise go light ;).

Looks like quite a trek and one where every once counts.

Wish I had your energy. Years ago I used to carry "all" my camera gear in a backpack every time I went out. It weighed over 25 pounds. I've cut my carry gear down now to 1 body & 2 lenses and sometimes it's just 1 lens.

adventure is afoot here, and the terrain is friendly at this elevation....well done to undertake the long climb..
