No, the comment was from a Graphic Designer in Florida, it was an honest criticism, they preferred he LACMA image because it meant something, there was meaning behind it, and, it was me....lol
T - not sure who criticized your luminous image (the sunflower of this recent set?) but as I commented, I thought it was well lit.
For this particular shot, I'd like more light on the lower green tomatoes, and some on the upper ones. If you used Lightroom, that would be simple with the adjustment brush, playing with local exposure and shadows.
The angle is good, and creative. But good backlighting is hard. But see your sunflower for what success looks like.
There was some criticism of my Luminous image..."Yes, it's lovely but it is just another fine flower shot by you."
So yes I know my work is not what I want to do or what I see in my mind's eye....but there are people with real problems in this world that I must attend too...as the song goes, "Ain't no good life, but it is my life."
I was trying for a creative angle here, especially catching the hot summer sun as I did considering the topic for the Challenge.
Yes, I'd rather be in Italy, or, Arizona visiting you....(grin)...but the Challenge does get me out....the sun was bright and commanding and and hot on my skin as I visited our community garden...And this was good. I am immeasurably thankful for the Challenge and even my poor work entered. It is very good for me.
