death

death from natural causes is common enough among wildlife, and lingers around us all these days...Canada, despite a downward trend in case numbers, has now passed a total of 19,000 deaths from Covid-19

Sad but definitely part of life. Great image. 19,000? Sadly, less than a week for us right now. ~V~

this little goose was too weak to fly for a long migration, so sad. V

A poignant image and riveting too to see an active wildlife motionless...during this difficult times with so many deaths, a palpable sense of collective grief has emerged....V

Sad to see and horrifying to look at Canada's number of deaths compared to the USA.

As Carol said Canada is doing better that your neighbour country. Sad image indeed.

Yes, this is a very sad photo, and signifies an even sadder real life crisis. Canada, like most other countries is doing a lot better than here in the US with Covid case numbers. Please stay safe!

Always love images of the geometry of winter reeds. I can't figure if the goose is dead or just sleeping. Sad numbers, though nothing compared to the US.

A sad sight as it looks suspended in the clouds.
Dennis Hoyne25-Jan-2021 01:59
With that calm water and reflections, this goose appears suspended. An eerie image.

Depressing image and narative David, but well and appropriately presented.
