Big Bend Ranch S.P. Texas

The Rio Grande River meanders at the bottom of the cliffs on the left. Highway 170 meanders along the hillside on the right.
You can see a few road signs on the highway.

Big Bend Ranch State Park encompasses 287,000 acres of Chihuahuan Desert wilderness, along the Rio Grande River of western Texas.
Operated as a preserve by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, it is adjacent to Big Bend National Park on the west.
It was established in 1988, but unlike Big Bend National Park, the interior of the Ranch remains primitive.
Big Bend Ranch features spectacular volcanic rock formations - especially El Solitario - and many unique plants and animals, and 10,000 years of human history.

you picked a great area for your Covid isolation time...down here on the valley floor the grandeur of the location shines through..

Really gorgeous, Lynn. I like how the contours of both the near and far hills contrast with each other and the great color. ~BV~
