Nice monochrome and a memory stirrer we called them shoe makers in NYC it was a great trade at the time soles wore out take it to the shoe maker or as you put the cobbler. We have a similar business at the mall but they do all kinds of leather work as well. Nice posting Laine. Vote

A really cool shot. Thankfully there are still a few place that do shoe repairs, perhaps not as skilled as the cobblers of old.

Most towns in France have a cobblers, turning their hands to any repairs of leather.

There are still cobblers here, they are mostly Mexican and do a great job.
