alluring

Rebecca Spit, Quadra Island

authorities are urging people not to travel this coming long weekend, and small communities are asking everyone to stay away for the time being...how alluring it would be though to get away from the city for a while

It would be especially with that spectacular view. V

A great place to be isolated yet out in the open. V

I really like that blue/green diagonal split...fab shot David. We've been in lockdown since mid-March with only a local daily walk round the streets for exercise; I'm longing for the countryside too :o(

I feel your pain. It has been about a month since I was last in the mountains and I miss them ever so much. Hopefully this will be over soon. V

A beautiful spot for a get away.

A lovely place to relax on a fine day such as this.
I love those distant clouds and mountains.

Many places on the coast here cordoned off beaches, closed all lodging after local stores ran out of food with the onslaught of people 'getting away.' They'd better stock up for when people can visit again!

A beautiful bright and well composed image David.

This photo is an invitation to get away - those mountains beckoning from the background are indeed alluring.

Inviting path for sure... like a tantalum’s torment... but resist! V.

As of this morning (April 8) the British Columbia government has shut down all provincial parks, which includes our beloved Rebecca Spit park.
Quadra Island residents are so fortunate to have many other scenic places to safely walk while maintaining physical distancing.

Perhaps it is pure selfishness, but I'm glad about the park closures. It is time to curtail travel, including tourist travel.

It would be wonderful to get out there, but better to be safe than sorry. Great view.

Beautifully composed and photographed, David. Let's hope people don't succumb to the allure.

It would be nice to get away, but I can see how beautiful places like this might not want an influx of visitors. You might check with Don!

Yes indeed, my wife and I were discussing where
could visit once this isolation is over. Gorgeous view!

Beautiful view. Looks like a good place to be. I try not to think about it. Been visiting lots of places in my reading.
