The Thekla Lark was a somewhat nondescript bird that seemed pretty common when we were traveling in the higher elevation areas that we visited during our trip to Ethiopia. For these reasons there was a tendency to not spend much time to photograph them. After a couple of days of pretty much driving past them I couldn’t handle it any more and decided to just take some time out and spend some time with the bird. Looking back at it I’m glad we invested the time, it’s actually a pretty neat bird and since we saw so many of them it would have been a shame not to have some photos to go along with the memories.
