St. Christopher’s Tenant House

Kazimierz Dolny, Poland

One of the houses built for Przybyla brothers.

It was erected around 1615 for Krzysztof (Christopher) Przybyla. A beautiful examples of late Renaissance (mannerist) architecture, combining the local construction tradition with the influence from the Netherlands and Italy.
The decorations represent the morals, the mythology, Christian symbolism, medieval phantasies and renaissance grotesques.
The decorative elements are made of stucco. It is crowned with some of the most beautiful renaissance high attics in Poland.
