We came across a small herd of cows and calves crossing this meandering stream near Buffalo Ranch in the Lamar Valley.
This was early June so the water was very swift and cold and the calves obviously did not want to try to wade through
like their mothers so we watched several attempt to jump the stream with varying amounts of success.
