A Little Bit of Color

The last leaves cling, but it’s not the end.
Every season verges then merges with the next.
Each boundary is special in its annual process.
From the buds of spring and to the shade of summer.
The walnuts ripen and the leaves slowly change to a blaze
of yellow as the crows fight over walnuts.
Then one day it’s over in a rush as the leaves drop.
Then the trees can be seen as the grand structures
that they truly are against the grey winter sky.
The hope of seasons to come remain intact
even as the last leaf relents

Having been raised where there was a set season and a dry season, the seasons here have never ceased to enthral me. Love your dialogue = and photo V

Your words are so true; exemplified by this fine shot as nature gets ready for winter. V
