The many stages of trees

We went back to the 412-acre National Arboretum, located in northeast Washington, D.C., about a 15-minute drive from our house. It was cloudy this time, but there were many more azaleas in bloom, some of them my favorites from years past. The dogwoods had already lost all their blossoms.

WE often hear the expression, "splash of color". This would be "waves of color"! Looks like something is calling that burrow under the log, "home". V
