That is very alarming. I hope you are safe. The red really pops against the dark log. V
Nirvan Hope04-May-2018 16:38
Yes, alarming. Great shot to illustrate flames and a blackened log.

Beautiful capture of the pretty poppies! Hopefully the fires won't affect humans...

Beautiful Spring image to supplement the dreaded forecast for another very dry summer c/w forest fires. I sure hope they are wrong.

Oh no, this is pretty dreadful and alarming news. I can't see how BC can sustain more severe wildfires. This is distressing. The only bright spot is your lovely photo. V

Beautifully done, those red poppies stand out like hot coals,,,V
We are experiencing the worst drought in possibly 50 years , so I guess everyone is involved..

Lovely poppies for now! Hope the wx forecast proves to be false. V

Worrisome news to hear but I like your image with these poppies contrasting nicely with those greens. !V

Best be prepared

Looks lush and beautiful now, but will dry out soon. Same problem here. We didn't get enough rain this winter and conditions will surely be hot and dry soon.

Fortunately those pretty flowers bring some cheer for the moment...wonderful image...V

Looks so beautiful and springlike. Excellent shot. We had the warmest April in the last 200 years in Germany. V

It's hard to believe they can predict a bad fire season when you see this verdant, beautiful Spring photo. Let's hope they are wrong. V
Colin Storey03-May-2018 13:12
Global warming bites again, like the flowers in the scene.
Marcia Rules03-May-2018 13:12
We already have a wildfire burning. Crazy stuff to here about from the PNW
Blandine Mangin03-May-2018 10:11

Certainly a fake new : D. Trump says "no climate changing" :)
I am kidding but this is not a good new considering last year's disaster !
Superb image with the spots of red ! V.

Isn’t it great how quickly nature reconquers? Strong image. I hope that these bad news won’t come true... ! V

Worrisome! In only a few months this lovely scene of lush greens and red poppies may perhaps be fuel for the wildfires. A lovely spring-like image though.

Beautiful... V!

Beautiful Poppies. Sad to hear. Did experience last years extensive smoke while backpacking in Washington state.
joseantonio03-May-2018 04:16
nice contrast with the red puppies.V.
Neil Marcus03-May-2018 04:10
Enjoy the flowers and lush surrounding now. Nature will out...
Gill Kopy03-May-2018 03:39
Oh No ! hadn't heard that - had better get our geriatric fire dept. alerted :( Love your shot which isn't alarming at all :) V
Nick Paoni03-May-2018 01:41
Yes and we already are back into moderate drought conditions over a good portion of CA.
LynnH03-May-2018 01:32
What a shame. I heard Texas will be hotter too... if anyone can imagine that. But thankfully not dry. We had 90 today. Your photo of fresh wildflowers shows there is hope and renewal after the burn.
Helen Betts03-May-2018 01:32
It's a lovely capture with those brilliant poppies and well textured log, but distressing news to hear.
Jim Coffman03-May-2018 01:24
