This Fish Crow was visiting a dumpster in Brazoria County last month and caused a bit of stir with the local birders because it isn’t a species that is usually found in the county. What made an even bigger stir was a Tamaulipas Crow that showed up a week or so after this Fish Crow was detected. The Tamaulipas Crow was unusual enough that I decided to spend a day hanging out near the dumpsters. Unfortunately for me I missed the super rare Tamaulipas Crow but I was still rewarded with this fine young Fish Crow as it was flying back and forth between the dumpsters and some nearby palm trees. I was also rewarded with some nice visits with several of my local birding and photography friends who also had crow fever.
