Betty Ann Ong was the flight attendant on American Airlines flight 11 on September 11, 2001.
About 10 minutes into the flight from Boston to Los Angles Betty Ann realized the flight was being hijacked.
She called American Airlines on the Air Phone to alert them of the situation.
With a passenger and two other attendants stabbed and communication with the cockpit broken, Betty Ann continued to calmly communicate with American Airlines and other authorities.
For the last 23 minutes of her life Betty Ann Ong calmly stayed on the phone alerting the world to the events that would unfold on that tragic day of 9/11/2001.
Betty Ann Ong is an unsung hero of 9/11.
