Big Shoulders / Helping Hands

My Street in First Colony Texas

The National Guard went through our neighborhood to rescue those who had flooded homes. We also had Texas Game Warden air-boats who were also working the area until 11 p.m.
We are dry and comfortable in our home, which sits higher than most of the neighborhood.
The SUN IS SHINING and we have a dry wind blowing!
It's all uphill from here.

I'm so glad at least your house made it through this although it is probably a long way to go before life in its totality gets back to normal. Excellent image. ~BV~

I'm so happy to know you're safe and dry, Lynn. Always a wise decission to buy a house on the higher ground.
So many brave and helpful people around! V.

Lucky you, Lynn! Such terribly strong, long floods.. It must take many years to get everything in order again? Take care. V!

I'm so glad you are escaping the worst of the storm. So many unusual meteorological events came together
to create this national tragedy.
