Yes, the pizzeria is more prominent than the bar, but the alliteration isn't as good.
I wanted to do this street scene but realised that I had a problem with the dynamic range between the light and the shadows. So I looked down, set it to a 5 frame HDR, and shot... just as I realised that this woman was cycling through the frame meaning that any attempt to use the bracket was doomed to failure.
No matter, especially as I liked the point of interest that she gave to the photo. I resorted to my backup plan. I made two copies of the normal exposure image, took each into Camera Raw dropping one by 1.5EV and increasing the other by 1.5 EV, then generated an HDR from those three.
It'll do.
I had to do some digital detective work to find out where this is, which I finally managed to do in December 2022. I knew from the previous and later shots that it was between us leaving the Museo Galileo, and arriving at the Via Ghibellina. Since there is no name shown on the pizzeria (I've since found that it's the Pizzeria Renato & Patrizia at Via dei Neri 40), I had to rely on the other signs. The neon sign on the adjacent building was all but unreadable from this angle, but I was able to see "Artigianale" on one of the arches. I didn't think that was much help because it's a common word in Italian, but then I spied a place on Google Maps between our prior and next destinations named "Bar Ditta Artigianale". Boom. All of the photos matched. Then I found a pizzeria nearby and... yup, that's the place. Street View is of limited use here because I think it has all been done by hand (since the Google Maps truck can't easily fit down these streets), and the pieces haven't been joined together properly to allow you to move up and down the street. Still, I found enough to be confident of the locations.
