The light of a winter dawn rising behind Loch Clair cast its tangerine glow on to Beinn Eighe in the Torridon mountains and reflected onto the loch such that the distorted birch trees and straw like grass turned the surface colour to burnt sienna. a small patch of reeds bisected it bent double in the light frost of a winter morning. This intimate little scene proved utterly enchanting even amongst the grandeur of the Torridon peaks.
