These are Ecoflex 20 FB silicone pixies sculpted and poured by Melissa McCrory. They are about 12" long each.
Now here are issues fully disclosed.
Issue #1: Nail tips are thick and smudged. These babies have tiny little nails that are not well defined in some spots which made it even harder paint them and I still struggle with getting a thin nail line in silicone. So that was my first issue with these.
Issue #2: At the end when I went to apply the final sealer layer of Part A and Part B I had issues. In some places the silicone cured well and in other places it did not. In some places the matting looked fine. In other spots I did not get my silicone pounced out thin enough so the matting left thick white spots. One baby is worse than the other for this. I cleaned both babies well and they were sticky in spots so after researching with other silicone artists I purchased some NOVOCS and cleaned the babies well. I sealed and matted them again. After I was done matting the babies and giving them their final wash I realized there were spots around the under-arms where the silicone had peeled some with the scrubbing I gave them to remove the uncured silicone reside. Both babies are not smooth to begin with at the arm and hip joints, under arms etc. as that is the way they were molded/sculpted. I also had a small split under the arm of one baby. I repaired the split with Sil-poxy and it is secure now. The repaired small split pretty well blends right in with the existing unevenness of the scupt's underarms but I can show one where it is.
The flaws I have listed above do make for less than perfect looking babies. IMO they do not detract from them so greatly that they can not be enjoyed as cute display babies. However, due to the issues I have had I can not guarantee them against future peeling. I have done my best to repair the peeled spots but having never dealt with this before I do not know what the longevity of that would be. If someone is looking for a baby to dunk in water and give constant bathing to it then I would say they most likely would not fair well. I do not recommend that for any silicone but especially these. If anyone wishes to purchase one of these babies, these are the full disclosures and it would have to be a purchase with no warranty by me.
