Growing up, it was always "Kentucky Fried Chicken" to me.
Then as they branched out to the world, they started calling it "KFC"
which was cool with me because it was still "Kentucky Fried Chicken"
even if unspoken or unwritten.
But then somewhere along the line, they dropped Colonel Sanders and
"Kentucky Fried Chicken" from the brand altogether.
That was an injustice. Something sacrilegious had happened
and no one said anything about it.
But now, it seems the Colonel is back and so is "Kentucky Fried Chicken!"
God Bless the USA! :-)
Note: My daughter Zoe seems to agree with Papa Sam that the guy who plays
the Colonel on the new commercials doesn't really look like Colonel Sanders and
his Southern accent doesn't sound authentic :-)
I know what they say about "KFC" not using real chicken or that they use rat meat.
I can't verify that, it's possible they had sporadic episodes, but on the whole it's an
urban legend, it's nonsense. "Kentucky Fried Chicken" you know you love it!

Excellent image Sam. I like to have Kentucky Fried Chicken once a while for a special treat. The Colonel is an inspiration that you're never too old to be successful. I think he was like 60 when opened the first Kentucky Fried Chicken store. BV
P.S. As a 16 year-old I ate frequently at DER WIENERSCHNITZEL in Los Angeles. Somewhere along the line they dropped the "Der"? It seems it may be returning also.
