This 1932 Buick was presented to H. H. Sheikh Isa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, the late emir of the state of Bahrain, on the occasion of 60 years of discovering oil. It is the same one used by H.H. the late Sheikh Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa, the ruler of Bahrain when he visited the first oil well on the island.
It was a gorgeous car, now the property of the Bahrain National Museum, and was spotless as they had an annoying barrier surrounding it which not only prevented people from touching it but also made photographs pretty difficult. When nobody else was around, Tim pulled one part of the barrier down and the other up so I, kneeling on the floor, could get a straight shot. I guess I was so excited about seeing the wheels (and not falling over), I managed to cut the mirror off ;-).
