Rare sunshine day. Rains almost every day- 150 inches a year! There can be as many as seven cruse ships in at once- most I saw were four.
There are no roads into Juneau- the only ways in are by air or sea. There are more miles of old gold mining tunnels in the hills than there are roads in town.
The town itself was built on pilings of rocks dug out by mining operations.
Population is 33,000 but it gets 1.5 million visitors a year.
