After spending some time in the Big Cypress Gallery on February 14, 2014 viewing Clyde Butcher's photographs and making a couple of purchases,
as in past visits, we were immediately drawn to the area across Highway 41 from the parking lot.
This swamp area always features wildlife in their natural habitat.
We must have spent close to an hour just watching The Everglades come to life along this roadside.
It's a not-to-miss area to take advantage of while you are safely parked at the gallery.
All along Route 41 is a similar environment. However,
traffic does move very fast on this two-lane road and I would not recommend pulling your car to the shoulder,
opening your door, and crossing the highway on foot.
Take advantage of the wildlife directly across from the Big Cypress Gallery parking lot.
We did and this is what we saw!
