As a follow on to yesterday's post, I have to report great satisfaction with the first step of my painting project. I was originally thinking of using cans of spray paint, but getting a nice even paint surface in a small area is hard. They just flow too dang much paint and there is no way to control the paint pattern. I pulled out a detailing sprayer I had on the shelf and started experimenting and found a good combination of low pressure and low paint flow that worked perfectly for the job. So I got the primer on where it was needed on the left gear leg. Tomorrow I will put on the finish coat. John had commented about using a paint brush. I would like to do that, but I want a nice shiny automotive finish, so brushing isn't going to work.

So, Bloke was out as well and he went for a spin in his Thorp T-18. Nice day!

I wonder if it works on a vertical surface? Bloke fancies himself as part of the NATO Tigershttp://www.natotigers.org/

Dilute the paint with whatever they tell you to thin it with on the tin.
Use a good clean brush there will be no brush marks.
